First visit

The first visit to the pediatric dentist

ADA (American Dental Association) & AAPD (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry) recommend that the first dental visit should be made within six months of the eruption of the first tooth and no later than the first year of age.

Why plan a visit so early?

On your first visit the pediatric dentist will show you how to brush your child’s teeth, will discuss the need for fluoride supplementation and the dental care products you should use. She will also answer your questions about teething and advise you on eating habits and their effect in oral health. So, as a family, you will have established your child’s “dental home” early in life and you will know who to call, should any emergercy happen.

Our philosophy is to watch your child’s teeth when they are still ALL strong and to keep them strong forever! Preventive care can save time, money and… teeth…

We care about your child’s future.
